As two of my fellow GD's can attest, Granville street in Vancouver is a hotspot of activity on ANY night. However, this was a saturday night.
This guy was just getting arrested for Drunk and disorderly fighting after observing a fight across the street..
Two arrests, ten minutes, same corner.
This guy wasnt as vocal as the guy in the paddywagon in the background.. The first guy to get arrested was huge. Took on 4 decent sized guys before being subdued by a small female cop.
I hear one guy remark to his group: "The guy was huge.. probably 7ft tall, but I bet he feels smaller after being taken down by a 5ft5 female cop!"
Yeah, Van at night is fun, i want to go down there again when i have a nice film body.. This was digital

I was actually shooting on in-camera monochrome, but processed the RAW file instead of a JPEG

The expressions are also very nice, but I find myself in awe at my judgment of the world- I never would have thought a clean cut guy like that could get in trouble.
but hey, that's what photography is about- capturing the truth in the moment.
It is in my humble opinion that you need a wider lens

Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it.
Each day we will feature 10 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
There are a lot of themes that run through the stock gallery many people have similar ideas but they pull them off in different ways. In this series of newsletters we will look at similar ideas but different outcomes.

When it comes to community spirit, `Rushy is a shining example. From participating in devmeets, to providing positive encouragement to other artists, `Rushy can always be found demonstrating what it really takes to be a true deviant. It's without any hesitation that we are delighted to award the Deviousness Award for July 2009 to `RushyRead More

Photography is the simultaneous recognition, in a fraction of a second, of the significance of an event. (HCB)
