Artist's Comments

I have spent the better part of last week processing old images out of the archives to put up on my website.. Well, the better part of december really..

(thanks to =drewdog24 for helping me with my ftp-ftw) ;)

I came across Snoop.

Snoop was my first major band, and I was all sorts of nervous. Not for shooting a show, but for potentially fucking it up.

It was darker than I expected, but I still got some great pics.

I remember back then, I hated them, I thought they were complete crap, but looking back, I have come to appreciate them more..

In fact, I think this just may be my best shot of the year.. Maybe not best subject matter, best technically, whatever, but I think it captures the essence of the D-o-GG perfectly.

I have some more images available on my site. Snoop Dogg - West Fest 2008 - Vancouver BC

Yeah, you did it. You've captured his aura perfectly. I've always loved smoke captured into photography. His face does look a little posterized, but I'm guessing that's an effect of the low lighting. Still, I dig it.

Yeah, very little light hit his face at this point.. there is mostly light coming from behind at this particular venue.

Thanks for the comment Mel

Horribly intrusive watermarks are tacky. If you're concerned about people stealing your photos, don't post them on the internet.

Photography is the simultaneous recognition, in a fraction of a second, of the significance of an event. (HCB)

OMFG!:D It's an awesome portrait, Scotty!
A good example of why photos shouldn't have sound.

Definetly a good shot, if you consider the pissible light on a concert...

However, I use to like much more your work from the streets! Pitty you carry your camera in your photo bag, not round your neck as you used to... Maybe you started to use a car, who knows... Don't get me wrong, not blaming, just pitty.
Happy new year mate!
