I've always loved this picture. And I sincerely see no reason why it doesn't deserve credit. The moment was simply magical, with the model being absolutely natural in her surrounding and the attention given by the media even though it's Just a lighting test... `Obsidian-Fox has caught the moment well and without a doubt has portrayed reality in its true colour.

Description

BC Fashion Week Spring / Summer 2009
Pre-show runway.

This was the final day of BCFW I believe, during a dry-lighting and music timing run, which is why im on the side of the runway, and the photographers bleacher isnt full..

I took kneeling position on the floor dead center.

I took three shots of this model, two were very similar with her facing away from me, but then she turned around and looked directly at me for like 3 seconds, so I had to take that extra one, which ends up being my favorite of the bunch.

I love the pose, how it makes her seem that the show is no big deal.

I only personally know two of the photographers on the podium. One is Garry K, head photographer for VFW, and the other is Kris Krüg, head photographer for BCFW, and social media expert. (amazingly fun guy)

I dont think they should let compact digital photographer on the riser..

I like the Model.. but I'm not too concerned about the photographers in the background and I find it is a distraction. I'm also not fond of the comment you make about compact digital photographers not being allowed on the riser. This is a childish comment and hopefully it isn't a reflection upon the whole of the Industry you work in. I'm quite sure there are many more advanced fashion photographers out there that do not have this attitude.
BUT.. all this being said.. The capture of this model is quite good and worthy of this DD award.
